I missed out on the ballot for RideLondon 100 miles so I decided to get an entry via a charity place, this has given me even more motivation to train and support a great charity. I chose Sue Ryder who provide compassionate care and support for people with palliative, long-term and end of life needs.
This blog will chart my journey as I get ready for 100 miles in August. If you would like to donate and help motivate me please click my black & white photo. Many thanks Martin.

Almost there
Managed 93 miles, trouble is it took me 3 days. Cracking weather today though, great to be riding though this countryside with 20C on your back.
Hi Richard, yes a brilliant long weekend indeed. Great to see so many other riders out, if this weather keeps up it will start to get hectic out there on the back lanes. This is the small village (more like a large hamlet)of Dinton in Bucks.
Beautiful - great weekend for riding. Everyone was at it. Where was this picture taken?
