I missed out on the ballot for RideLondon 100 miles so I decided to get an entry via a charity place, this has given me even more motivation to train and support a great charity. I chose Sue Ryder who provide compassionate care and support for people with palliative, long-term and end of life needs. This blog will chart my journey as I get ready for 100 miles in August. If you would like to donate and help motivate me please click my black & white photo. Many thanks Martin.

Hey Martin, i'm also doing the RideLondon100 for Sue Ryder - i'm based in Twyford / Henley. Your blog is an excellent idea and I might set one up too. I don't know about you but I am pretty aprehensive about the 100, the longest ride I did in one go was about 77 miles last year - was fine but was pretty leisurely. I have kids and stuff which make it really hard to get out. I'm not a member of a club so all my training is solo! Will keep watching your blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Richard, thanks for the comment.Setting up a blog on here is really pretty easy as the tools are fairly intuitive. Good luck with your training, if you managed 77 miles last year you are almost there. At this time of year it can be hard to make yourself leave the house, but any rides are better than none. If the roads are really icy I wouldn't bother and would either go on my turbo or get the mountain bike up the woods.
