Ear warmers save the day

A seriously wet and cold ride. Didn't really fancy going out but I had set the alarm and had prepped the bike yesterday so just decided to go for it. Was only 3.5C and tipping down. Was soaked through after about 20 minutes. My neoprene ear warmers proved to be worth their weight in gold. Average speed 16 mph so not too bad, used 1100 Calories though!!
Now sat down with a coffee and a Danish, so sort of makes it all worth while.

  1. If you've set your mind to it then it feels good to
do it. Seems no matter how waterproof the atire is,
heavy rain always gets in eventually. 38.44 miles is amazing.
