RideLondon 100 miles for Sue Ryder

I missed out on the ballot for RideLondon 100 miles so I decided to get an entry via a charity place, this has given me even more motivation to train and support a great charity. I chose Sue Ryder who provide compassionate care and support for people with palliative, long-term and end of life needs. This blog will chart my journey as I get ready for 100 miles in August. Half way there, well almost

A pretty cold morning, although it did get up to 4.5C for a little while. Went out with 3 other guys who managed to drag me round for 46 miles!!! Took 2 hrs 50 min average 16.2 MPH so pretty pleased with that. Still snow around on the high spots which made for some great views.

Very impressive distance and time. The cold and wind don't really help. Any nasty climbs or moderate hills?

Thanks, its was cold and I got a serious cramp about 10 miles from home. There was 1,242 ft of climbing so I was pleased.
